Jesus was born on June 17: Australian astronomer?

Yeah, astronomers did some research and said the most likely month for a large star to appear in the sky would be June in the year 1 A.D. December 25 is the day of birth of another early "god" of the Mayans or something i believe. But they are almost exactly 6 months apart.
