Does christanty approve of slavery?

Yes and No. The fundamentalists who believe word for word what the bible says (if this be true) must believe in it and techically approve of FORMS of slavery. You should have used some different quotes though, the ones you use are about how to treat them, which is better than how many slaves have been treated throughout history, whereas other quotes plainly and simply state that one man is another mans property. Whether you treat them decent or not, they are like cattle and your slaves and to me that is never right. But most Christians take the Bible as something that was written a long time ago, under different society norms and that those things have long died out. But this is interesting because then that kindda means that God changed his mind. If in the Bible he is saying yes you can have slaves but this is how they should be treated and under these cirstances, but as time went on, God also saw that slavery was bad and is now against it lol, confusing. But if you believe this is just what the men thought at the time, then your admitting that it was written by man that is imperfect and that they can be in a sense wrong. And if you admit that, then other parts of the bible could be put up for scrutiny. Big giant mess and all in the eye of the beholder.
