Is time running out to implement global warming taxes ?

My opinion is that much of the Chicken Little-style fears of global warming are not well-founded. However, the Earth has gone through many stages in it's millions of years of evolution and change. I believe we could fall into another Ice Age but that it is hundreds if not thousands of years off. I just hope we don't drop our efforts to explore other planets because yes, eventually our own sun will burn out or collapse into a White Dwarf or possibly even a Super Nova, so humankind will someday need to find another planet to inhabit. As a species, though, we are still relatively new in the grand scheme of planetary development.
