Science is believed to be the force to do away with God but when science contradicts itself like they claim?

the Bible does, how can you believe them. They say there are trees in Utah I believe that they say have a root system of 80,000 years in age and some say a million. BUT, the last glacial age in North America was just 12,500 years ago. Don't glaciers push rocks and soil ahead of them to make mountains and hills and mounds and lakes? I mean, glaciers dug out the Great Lakes, then how could tree roots been left in the ground by a glacier that digs deep enough into the ground to create something as deep as the Great Lakes. Then how can they figure these trees to have been around longer then the last glacial period which would have torn the roots right out of the ground and piled them up with the rocks and dirt ahead of it? Seems like a contradiction to their science to me.
