Snowboard straps on bindings are sticking?

first time with a brand new board and bindings...when it was time for me to get my foot out of the binding, I couldn't do it because the buckle wouldn't release the strap...after much maneuvering I got it out but it took way too long. I've never has this problem with any other binding...but my new ones are a bit cheaper than my old ones
